The Lee County Genealogical Society

The Lee County Genealogical Society was founded in 1994 and is dedicated to the purpose of promoting awareness of family history and helping people in their genealogical research. The society is a not-for-profit organization, relying on work by volunteers and individual donations to help pay expenses.

The "Family Tree Center" is located at 111 South Hennepin Avenue in Dixon, Illinois. The Center is open to the public Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The hours vary on holiday weeks so it may be best to call and check our hours if you plan to visit (815-288-6702). Please call during open hours.

The Lee County Genealogical Society is having a Grand Opening of our New Location at 111 South Hennipen Ave., Dixon IL, on August 15 and 16 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on each day. Please stop by and see our new home. More info will follow.
